Charleston

Reflections on Charleston

I recently spent a few days in Charleston, South Carolina. I went primarily to visit Fort Sumter and see where the Civil War began and also to indulge in the down-home Southern cooking of a city that has quickly become a foodie paradise.

The city resonates with history. As a history buff and an architectural design buff it was incredible. From the old, Southern plantation homes to the unique Gullah culture to the fascinating Citadel campus, I could’ve spent a month instead of days. Here are some photos that hopefully capture the mood and experience of being in Charleston.
